The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion partners with two NYS Women-Owned Businesses to Celebrate Eco-Conscious Businesses<\/p>\n
Alessandra Payne owner of Salvage & Shine and Jordon Egleston owner of Uniquely Jordon Boutique partnered with HVCC\u2019s Environmental Sustainability to host the Eco-Conscious Retail Oasis, a vendor market showcasing over 20 eco-conscious businesses. The Eco-Conscious Retail Oasis event is in celebration of Earth Day and will take place on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Siek Campus Center and is open to the public.<\/p>\n
\u201cI wanted to build a platform for environmentally sustainable businesses to sell their products.\u00a0 A place where customers can meet and learn from concerned business owners about how to live a more eco-conscious lifestyle that reduces pollution and protects our planet,\u201d said Alessandra Payne, owner of Salvage & Shine, an eco-conscious wearable art jewelry business.<\/p>\n
\u201cAfter speaking with Alessandra about her vision, I was so excited to be a part of the Eco-Conscious Retail Oasis planning team. This experience has taught me that there are so many other eco-conscious businesses in the Capital Region.\u00a0 I think it\u2019s wonderful that we are creating an Eco-Conscious Event for these eco-conscious businesses to promote their products,\u201d said Jordon Egelston, owner of Uniquely Jordon Boutique, an eco-conscious apparel business<\/p>\n
