Reverse Rett Family Fun Day on Sept. 9!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Please save the date!<\/p>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">2nd Annual<\/span><\/strong><br \/>\n<strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Reverse Rett Upstate New York Family Fun Day!<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Saturday, Sept. 9 from Noon to 6 p.m.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Speigletown FireHouse, Route 40<\/span><\/h4>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\">Food trucks, face painting, raffles, live music, chicken BBQ<br \/>\nand activities for kids!<\/h3>\n<p>Our inaugural event last year raised over $300,000 for Rett Syndrome research. Many thanks to Coach Parrow and the HVCC baseball team for volunteering at the 2022 event! If anyone is interested in volunteering for 2023 , please contact <a href=\"mailto:reverserettupstatenewyork@gmail.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reverserettupstatenewyork@gmail.com<\/a> or <a href=\"mailto:c.ryan2@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">c.ryan2@hvcc.edu<\/a> for more information. Volunteer shifts are two to three hours long and might involve face painting, selling raffle tickets, taking care of trash, running the dunk tank, or directing parking.<\/p>\n<p>Rett Syndrome is a rare, severe neurological disorder that impacts breathing, walking, and talking, and causes seizures, anxiety, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic issues.
