{"id":20502,"date":"2023-08-31T11:50:56","date_gmt":"2023-08-31T15:50:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/center-for-careers-and-transfer-transfer-advisor-visits-and-college-information-tables-11\/"},"modified":"2023-08-31T11:50:56","modified_gmt":"2023-08-31T15:50:56","slug":"center-for-careers-and-transfer-transfer-advisor-visits-and-college-information-tables-11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/center-for-careers-and-transfer-transfer-advisor-visits-and-college-information-tables-11\/","title":{"rendered":"Center for Careers and Transfer: Transfer Advisor Visits and College Information Tables"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Transfer Advisor Visits<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Center for Careers and Transfer hosts admissions counselors and representatives from four-year colleges and universities, who visit Hudson Valley Community College regularly throughout the year to meet with students.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-138927 size-large aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/transfer-schools-450x150.png\" alt=\"Student walking between two buildings\" width=\"450\" height=\"150\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Transfer Advisor Visits<\/strong> offer students who are more decisive about transferring to a particular college or university an opportunity to meet with representatives individually.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><em><strong>Note<\/strong><\/em>: Appointments are required. To schedule an appointment with a transfer college representative, please contact the Center for Careers and Transfer at (518) 629-7326 or <a href=\"mailto:cce@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">cce@hvcc.edu<\/a>; or stop by our office, CTR 290.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Scheduled appointments are generally 15 to 30 minutes, and will include advisement about admission criteria, general education requirements, course recommendations and transfer of credit.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\">Students should bring an unofficial copy of their Hudson Valley Community College transcript (found in WIReD), so the transfer advisor can evaluate the transfer value of completed HVCC courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Transfer College Information Tables<\/strong> offer students easy access to transfer advisors, who are located on the first floor of the Siek Campus Center during the days and hours shown below.
