The email will allow you to set up a personalized page in <a href=\"https:\/\/hvcc.meritpages.com\/?host=app.meritpages.com\">Merit<\/a>, a software system the college uses to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/comm\/merit.html\">announce student accomplishments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Merit serves as a way to show verifiable proof that the college has recognized you for t being named to the deans\u2019 list or receiving a scholarship or academic award. It\u2019s a way to compile and showcase all the great things you accomplish as a Hudson Valley student.<\/p>\n<p>Your Merit page will also follow you to a large number of colleges and universities who also use the system. So, if you transfer to SUNY Buffalo, UAlbany, RIT, RPI, or hundreds of other schools, your Merit page follows you.<\/p>\n<p>For many students, Merit serves as part of an online \u201cresume\u201d to showcase potential employers how successful you\u2019ve been during your college years.
