{"id":20707,"date":"2023-09-25T12:00:40","date_gmt":"2023-09-25T16:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/employee-tuition-reimbursement-available-for-fy-2023-2024\/"},"modified":"2023-09-25T12:00:40","modified_gmt":"2023-09-25T16:00:40","slug":"employee-tuition-reimbursement-available-for-fy-2023-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/employee-tuition-reimbursement-available-for-fy-2023-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Employee Tuition Reimbursement Available for FY 2023-2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Colleagues:<\/p>\n<p>On behalf of President Ramsammy, I am pleased to announce that tuition reimbursement for <strong>all employees<\/strong> has been included in the 2023-2024 college operating budget.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Available to ALL employees.<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursement is available for coursework taken <strong>for credit<\/strong> at any nationally or regionally accredited college.<\/li>\n<li>Coursework does not have to be job-related.<\/li>\n<li>You do not have to be matriculated into a program to be eligible.<\/li>\n<li>Reimbursement is for tuition only (no fees), based on 50% of the current SUNY in-state tuition rate for up to 6 credits per semester.<\/li>\n<li>Funds are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The campus community will be notified when the funds are depleted for the fiscal year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 (if funds are still available), the reimbursement rate per semester is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>$105.50 per credit\/$633 maximum (6 credits) \u2014 Associate degrees and credit-bearing certificates taken at a college other than Hudson Valley Community College*<\/li>\n<li>$147.50.per credit\/$885 maximum (6 credits) \u2014 Bachelor\u2019s degrees<\/li>\n<li>$235.50 per credit\/$1,413 maximum (6 credits) \u2014\u00a0 Master\u2019s degrees and PhDs<\/li>\n<li>$312.50 per credit\/$1,875 maximum (6 credits) \u2014\u00a0 MBA program<\/li>\n<li>$272.50 per credit\/$1,635 maximum (6 credits) \u2014 MSW program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Here\u2019s the procedure for reimbursement:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Register and pay for the course(s).<br \/>\n2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Send copies of the registration (a schedule is fine) and payment receipt to <a href=\"mailto:reimbursement@hvcc.edu\">reimbursement@hvcc.edu<\/a>. There are no forms to fill out.<br \/>\n3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 You will be contacted by Accounts Payable via email when your check is ready.<\/p>\n<p>*Please note\u00a0that this does\u00a0not\u00a0apply to courses taken at Hudson Valley.
