During the recent State Fire Marshal inspection, it was discovered that furniture power outlets<\/a> are being used. They are only safe to use as long as they are plugged directly into the wall outlets.<\/p>\n

They are fancy power strips with charging stations built in. Two areas have been cited and notified by the Environmental Health & Safety department.<\/p>\n

If you have these power outlets, please make sure that they are used correctly: plugged directly into the wall outlets and not UPS blocks or other power strips. Visit this link<\/a> to see an example of the furniture power outlets.<\/p>\n
