This technique is great when feeling anxious, taking a test, or other situations that are anxiety provoking. Simply observing your senses can bring your mind back into focus on the task at hand and where you are.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-145704 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/54321-450x450.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Above is a graphic with an easy five steps to utilize the 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique. Simply, focus on five things you can see, four things you can touch, three things that you can hear, two things that you can smell, and finally, one thing that you can taste.
