{"id":21550,"date":"2024-02-12T13:00:31","date_gmt":"2024-02-12T18:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/this-week-in-athletics-138\/"},"modified":"2024-02-12T13:00:31","modified_gmt":"2024-02-12T18:00:31","slug":"this-week-in-athletics-138","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/this-week-in-athletics-138\/","title":{"rendered":"This week in athletics"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>This week in athletics<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Men\u2019s Basketball<\/strong>: The men\u2019s basketball program lost its only game last week as the Vikings were defeated ,81-61, at Mohawk Valley on Feb. 8.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women\u2019s Basketball<\/strong>: The women\u2019s basketball program dropped its only game of the week in a 65-59 defeat on the road at Mohawk Valley.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bowling<\/strong>: Viking bowlers earned their second straight Mountain Valley Conference Championship as they finished with an 8-0 record at the HVCC Invitational on Feb. 7. The bowling program is poised to compete for the Region 3 title on Feb. 17 in Utica.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Track and Field<\/strong>: The track and field program performed well at the Middlebury Indoor Meet on Feb. 10 with Brooks Robson leading the way with a personal best in the triple jump.
