{"id":21912,"date":"2024-04-04T12:39:42","date_gmt":"2024-04-04T16:39:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/hvcc-school-of-stem-exhibits-at-first-robotics-competition\/"},"modified":"2024-04-04T12:39:42","modified_gmt":"2024-04-04T16:39:42","slug":"hvcc-school-of-stem-exhibits-at-first-robotics-competition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/hvcc-school-of-stem-exhibits-at-first-robotics-competition\/","title":{"rendered":"HVCC School of STEM Exhibits at FIRST Robotics Competition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>HVCC faculty, staff and students from the School of STEM attended the\u00a0annual\u00a0FIRST\u00ae\u00a0New York Tech Valley Regional Robotics Competition\u00a0at the MVP Arena March 21-23.<\/p>\n<p>As a sponsor of the event, the School of STEM\u00a0represented\u00a0the college and showcased hands-on displays, demonstrations, and activities, including a cobot robotic arm, VR headsets to allow virtual tours of campus facilities, an electric car display, and a virtual anatomy table.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty and staff members were available to support the participating high school students throughout the competition and to talk with them about a variety of pathways to STEM careers offered at Hudson Valley.<\/p>\n<p>The college also joined UAlbany and RPI to sponsor the Team Social on the evening of Friday, March 22.
