{"id":22134,"date":"2024-04-30T12:15:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-30T16:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/join-us-for-the-faculty-staff-honors-convocation-on-thursday-may-2\/"},"modified":"2024-04-30T12:15:00","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T16:15:00","slug":"join-us-for-the-faculty-staff-honors-convocation-on-thursday-may-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/join-us-for-the-faculty-staff-honors-convocation-on-thursday-may-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Join us for the Faculty\/Staff Honors Convocation on Thursday, May 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>All are welcome to attend the 40th Annual Faculty and Staff Honors Convocation at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 2 in the Maureen Stapleton Theatre to witness the presentation of the 2024 SUNY Chancellor\u2019s Awards for Excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to this year&#8217;s award recipients:<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Donna Barron (Excellence in Faculty Service)<br \/>\nDr. Jay Deitchman (Excellence in Professional Service)<br \/>\nAlicia Phelan (Excellence in Classified Service)<br \/>\nDr. Mark Stephens (Excellence in Teaching)<br \/>\nLaura Tubbs (Excellence in Teaching)<br \/>\nDennis Wax (Excellence in Professional Service)<\/p>\n<p>The annual convocation will highlight their many achievements as well as emeritus faculty, faculty promotions, merit awards and certificates earned through the Center for Professional Excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty and staff planning to be part of the academic procession should assemble in the Siek Campus Center room 204 at 4:15 p.m. in academic regalia.<\/p>\n<p>The unveiling of the Chancellor\u2019s Award plaques and a reception will follow the ceremony in the Guenther Lobby.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to seeing you at the event!
