\nStudent Awards Ceremony<\/strong>
\nMay 2, 2024 at 2 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n
At the recent ceremony, Ricky Thibodeau, chairman of the Department of Business and Criminal Justice, honored each award recipient individually with a framed award. Students invited family members to the event, and several faculty and Dean Tyler Kessel also were part of the capacity audience.<\/p>\n

\nAward shall be given to a first-year student who is pursuing an accounting certificate at Hudson Valley Community College and has maintained a GPA of 3.75.
\nRecipient: Amber Mohamed<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nAward will be given to a first-year student who is pursuing an associate in applied science degree, has maintained a GPA of 3.75, and is planning to transfer to a four-year institution ultimately to become a Certified Public Accountant. Consideration will be given to those students engaged in leadership, extracurricular or club activities.

\n<\/strong>Awarded to a graduating student enrolled in the criminal justice program with plans to transfer to a four-year college or university. Students are nominated by the criminal justice faculty and must demonstrate a promising future and potential to evoke change in the community.

\n<\/strong>Awarded to a graduating Criminal Justice senior who plans to pursue a career in law enforcement and maintains high academic standings.
