UNESCO-UNEVOC supports Member States in their efforts to strengthen and upgrade their TVET systems.\u201d (<a href=\"https:\/\/unevoc.unesco.org\/home\/UNESCO-UNEVOC+-+Who+we+are\">https:\/\/unevoc.unesco.org\/home\/UNESCO-UNEVOC+-+Who+we+are<\/a>). The college&#8217;s Inauguration Event was held in April 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The UNESCO-UNEVOC TVET <a href=\"https:\/\/unevoc.unesco.org\/home\/TVET+Events+Calendar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Events Calendar<\/a> &#8220;provides an overview of conferences, seminars, workshops, and other TVET events that are relevant on a global or regional level.&#8221; Below please find information, taken directly from the calendar, about an upcoming event that may be of interest to members of the campus community.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Webinar: VR in vocational education and training &#8212; promises and pitfalls<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Wednesday, Nov. 20<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This final Learning Lab of 2024 will look at how to harness extended reality (XR) technologies, with a focus on virtual reality (VR), in TVET. Three examples will be spotlighted: VR Simulator for Wastewater Treatment Plants in Vietnam, VR training applications for welding students in Germany, and Creating a VR lab for construction courses in Ghana.
