However, as Carrie Fisher points out, while a disorder like bipolar disorder can be a challenge for some, that struggle can often help individuals eventually grow and thrive in this world.<\/p>\n<p>Bipolar disorder is a disorder often misunderstood in the media and by society as a whole. Lithium is an example of a category of prescription drugs called mood stabilizers often used to relieve clients and patients of the symptoms from bipolar disorder. While this drug and other mood stabilizers have been found very successful in treating bipolar disorder, some individuals experience a dullness and \/ or emptiness when taking drugs like Lithium and sometimes waiver on whether to continue to take their prescribed medication.
