{"id":23122,"date":"2024-11-21T13:22:53","date_gmt":"2024-11-21T18:22:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/important-graduation-deadline\/"},"modified":"2024-11-21T13:22:53","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T18:22:53","slug":"important-graduation-deadline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/important-graduation-deadline\/","title":{"rendered":"Important Graduation Deadline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fall 2024 Degree, Certificate and Microcredential Application Deadlines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is a reminder that the degree, certificate and microcredential application deadline for Fall 2024 graduation is as follows:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Fall 2024 \u2014 Monday, December 2, 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If a student is completing their degree, certificate or microcredential requirements and plans on graduating this December 2024, a completed degree\/certificate application must be submitted to the Registrar&#8217;s Office by 5 p.m. Monday, December 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In order to complete the application process, a student must obtain approval from his or her advisor or department chairperson on the application. After downloading, saving and completing the application, the student should send it to his or her academic advisor or department chairperson as an attachment to a message from the student\u2019s Hudson Valley email account. After review and approval, the completed application must be forwarded to the Registrar\u2019s Office (<a href=\"mailto:registrar@hvcc.edu\">registrar@hvcc.edu<\/a>) no later than the close of business by the deadline indicated above.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications received after the noted date will be considered for graduation for the following semester (i.e., a fall application received on December 3 will be considered a Spring 2025 application).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications are available on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/registrar\/index.html\">Registrar&#8217;s webpage<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In order to complete the microcredential application process, you must obtain approval from the department chairperson of the <a href=\"https:\/\/catalog.hvcc.edu\/content.php?catoid=8&amp;navoid=429\">microcredential<\/a> on the application. NOTE: Submission of the microcredential application does not guarantee awarding the credential.
