In Spring 2025, Kao Kalia Yang, author of “The Latehomecomer: A Hmong Family Memoir” will visit campus to discuss her writing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The event at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9, is presented by the Cultural Affairs Program in collaboration with the English, Foreign Languages and English as a Second Language Department.<\/p>\n

In her award-winning family memoir, Yang discusses themes that relate to history, political science, education, human services, psychology and more. Linked here are slides<\/a> and a recorded presentation<\/a> that introduce her work and its main themes.<\/p>\n

Copies of\u00a0 “The Latehomecomer” are on reserve at the Marvin library.<\/p>\n
