The awards were established in 1985 by President Joseph Bulmer as a way to recognize exceptional service and dedication to the college.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 17.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nominees may be full- or part-time employees of the college, the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center, the Foundation or the Faculty Student Association with at least five years of continuous service. Nomination packets must include:<\/p>\n<p><strong>TEACHING AWARD (limited to one per school)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\u00a0A nomination letter from an academic dean<\/li>\n<li>A summary (no more than two pages) from the nominator including examples of exceptional performance and service<\/li>\n<li>Three confidential letters of support from students<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>COLLEGE SERVICE AWARD (limited to three)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>A nomination letter from a division\/department\/office director<\/li>\n<li>A summary (no more than two pages) from the nominator including examples of exceptional performance and service<\/li>\n<li>Three confidential letters of support from employees<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Completed nomination packets should be sent to Lauren Robichaud in the Office of the President via email to <a href=\"mailto:l.robichaud@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l.robichaud@hvcc.edu<\/a>.
