{"id":24098,"date":"2025-04-24T11:45:25","date_gmt":"2025-04-24T15:45:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/chemistry-club-meeting-4-28-cyanotype-imaging-and-prussian-blue\/"},"modified":"2025-04-24T11:45:25","modified_gmt":"2025-04-24T15:45:25","slug":"chemistry-club-meeting-4-28-cyanotype-imaging-and-prussian-blue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/chemistry-club-meeting-4-28-cyanotype-imaging-and-prussian-blue\/","title":{"rendered":"Chemistry Club Meeting 4\/28: Cyanotype Imaging and Prussian Blue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The HVCC Chemistry Club will meet on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 2 pm in SCI 385 to learn more about cyanotype imaging and Prussian Blue.\u00a0 Early photographs relied on the reactions of light-sensitive materials embedded on either film or paper.\u00a0 Invented in 1842, cyanotype is an inexpensive low-toxicity option for producing images.\u00a0 The cyanotype process produces Prussian blue.\u00a0 Attendees will learn about the chemistry and be able to try cyanotype imaging for themselves!!<\/p>\n<p>While not required to attend any of our meetings, all interested HVCC students (and faculty\/staff) are encouraged to stay up to date with all HVCC Chemistry Club information by enrolling in our Brightspace organization: \u00a0Log into Brightspace. Choose &#8220;Discover&#8221; on the Navigation bar. Search for &#8220;HVCC Chemistry Club&#8221; Click on the tile text. Select either the &#8220;Enroll in Course&#8221; or &#8220;Request Access&#8221; option.
