The Hudson Valley Community College Vikings tennis team wrapped up their season with a showing at the NJCAA National Championship. While the tournament presented stiff challenges, the team battled hard across singles and doubles competition, highlighted by an outstanding run from sophomore Jocelyn Richter, who earned NJCAA Second Team All-American honors after reaching the national final in her flight.<\/p>\n
Day 1 Highlights

Destiny Pipino lost to Gianna DeBlock (RCSJ), 0-6, 1-6.
\nAbigayle Yetto was defeated by Angel Randhawa (RCSJ), 0-6, 0-6.
\nGracemary Baumann fell to Maria Hanna (Camden), 0-6, 0-6.<\/p>\n

Richter and Pipino teamed up against Kiefreider\/Sosing (Camden), losing a close match 3-6.<\/p>\n

Jocelyn Richter defeated Emily Hamilton (RCSJ) in a dramatic 3+ hour battle: 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 6-2, advancing to the final.<\/p>\n
Olli Bulmer lost to Allie Barker (RCSJ), 4-6, 4-6.<\/p>\n
Doubles:<\/p>\n
Yetto\/Bulmer were defeated by DeBlock\/Randhawa (RCSJ), 0-6, 1-6.
\nBaumann\/Nayebi fell 0-6, 0-6 to Goldberg\/Zhao (Oxford Emory).<\/p>\n
Day 3 Highlights
\nRichter capped off her impressive run by competing in the national final of her flight.<\/p>\n
Singles:<\/p>\n
Jocelyn Richter finished as national runner-up, falling to Lily Liu (O.E.), 0-6, 1-6. Despite the loss, her performance earned her a spot on the NJCAA Second Team All-American list.
\nPipino was defeated by Lotte van Heeswijk (Mohawk Valley), 0-8.
\nYetto lost to Eileen Liu (Oxford Emory), 0-6, 0-6.
\nBaumann fell to Katelyn Steffans (RCSJ), 3-8.
