New officers began their three-year terms on Aug. 1.<\/p>\n<p>New (*) and returning Academic Senate officers are:<\/p>\n<p><b>Chairman Rachel Bornn*<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor<\/p>\n<p>English, Modern Languages, and ESL Department<\/p>\n<p><b>Vice Chairman Sue Kilgallon<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor<\/p>\n<p>Civil, Construction, Industrial and Mechanical Technologies<\/p>\n<p><b>Second Vice Chairman Beth Kane*<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Assistant Professor<\/p>\n<p>Math and Engineering Science<\/p>\n<p><b>Secretary Laura Mastrangelo<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Professor<\/p>\n<p>Biology, Chemistry and Physics<\/p>\n<p>Rosemary Shultz previously held the position of Chair and Janice Hindes was Second Vice Chair.<\/p>\n<p>The Academic Senate of Hudson Valley Community College is a representative deliberative governing body composed of members of the faculty, administration, staff and students of the college. The Senate meets monthly to review, examine, formulate, and discuss issues pertaining to the academic life of the college.
