Zimpher today  congratulated 23 SUNY colleges and universities on being named  \u201cmilitary friendly\u201d by a top-rated national military publication, <em>G.I. Jobs Magazine<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt  comes as no surprise that so many SUNY colleges and universities have  again made the military friendly list for 2012,\u201d said Chancellor  Zimpher. \u201cWith 64 campuses that span the higher education spectrum and  offer more than 7,500 degree and certificate programs, military  personnel who are transitioning from service to civilian careers are  bound to find opportunity and success at SUNY, and we are pleased to  welcome them as both new and returning students.\u201d<\/p>\n<table border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"0\" cellpadding=\"0\" width=\"100%\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<td><em>G.I. Jobs Magazine<\/em> is the premier publication for men and women who are transitioning from  military to civilian life.
