{"id":2981,"date":"2012-03-01T13:00:05","date_gmt":"2012-03-01T18:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/wdi-part-of-100000-training-grant-aimed-at-domestic-violence-survivors\/"},"modified":"2012-03-01T13:00:05","modified_gmt":"2012-03-01T18:00:05","slug":"wdi-part-of-100000-training-grant-aimed-at-domestic-violence-survivors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/wdi-part-of-100000-training-grant-aimed-at-domestic-violence-survivors\/","title":{"rendered":"WDI Part of $100,000 Training Grant Aimed at Domestic Violence Survivors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hudson Valley Community College Workforce Development Institute and Equinox, Inc. were the local recipients of a $100,000 grant aimed at building career skills for victims of domestic violence, it was announced yesterday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/vzwnortheast.tumblr.com\/post\/18462848448\/verizon-launches-entrepreneurship-training-program\" target=\"_blank\">Verizon Domestic Violence Entrepreneurship Grant  Program<\/a>, launched in July 2010, provides funding to domestic violence  survivors to help them start or expand a small or home-based business.<\/p>\n<p>Verizon is expanding  its commitment to this program state-wide by awarding $500,000 in grants to help  other domestic violence survivors rebuild their lives.
