(This means that you will lose access to grade directly from the discussion board on <strong>Saturday, May 19 at 8:15 a.m.<\/strong> If you want to grade from the discussion board area please plan to grade your discussion before <strong>Saturday, May 19 at 8:15 a.m.<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Archive Your Old Course<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nIt is recommended that you archive your course; it can serve as your historical record of course work. The archived course contains the course material with the student course submissions (discussion, Bb quizzes\/tests and assignments). It is recommended that you archive at the end of each term, once you&#8217;ve submitted student grades.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In your course, select <strong>Control Panel<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Archive Course<\/strong> under <em>Course Options<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Archive<\/strong> from the tool menu.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Submit<\/strong>, and then select <strong>OK <\/strong>on the next screen.<\/li>\n<li>You will receive an email from Blackboard when the Archive is complete on the system.<\/li>\n<li>From the <strong>Control Panel<\/strong> in the course you are archiving, select <strong>Archive Course<\/strong> again.<br \/>\n<strong><em>Note<\/em><\/strong>: Yes, you do have to enter the Archive Course area for a second time.<\/li>\n<li>Select the link for the most recent archive file.<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Save<\/strong> and choose a location to save the archive file to (i.e. your desktop or your H: Drive). The archived file will be saved as a compressed file (.zip format).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Blackboard 8 Going Away!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>IMPORTANT:<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Blackboard 8 is going away after the end of the Spring 2012 semester on June 15, 2012. Please export and import anything that you need from Bb8 to Bb 9.1. This includes any development (Z) areas as well. If you need Z shells created, please email <a href=\"mailto:DLHelp@hvcc.edu\">DLHelp@hvcc.edu<\/a> and we will make them for you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To get to Blackboard 8 you need to log into\u00a0 Blackboard 9.1.<br \/>\nOn your Home page you will see a module that says:<\/p>\n<p><strong>LOOKING FOR BLACKBOARD 8?<\/strong><strong><br \/>\nIf you have not Exported\/Imported your course(s) or organization(s) from Blackboard 8, it is available for faculty and staff use through June 15, 2012.\u00a0 To access your material on Blackboard 8, click <\/strong><a title=\"Link to Blackboard 8\" href=\"https:\/\/blackboard8.hvcc.edu\/\" target=\"_new\">here<\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You may get a prompt that says there is a problem with this website\u2019s security certificate.
