The HVCC READS 2012 program culminated when Times Union<\/em> journalist Mark McGuire visited the campus on Tuesday, April 24.<\/p>\n The author visited two classes that morning, shared lunch with a small group of students, faculty members and employees, gave a lecture, answered questions and socialized with audience members at a reception afterwards. The entire day proceeded smoothly and I’d like to thank various individuals and departments for their assistance on that day and during the course of the entire HVCC READS 2012 program:<\/p>\n President Drew Matonak<\/strong>, who initially funded the program in 2006 and 2007 and always has supported it through the years<\/p>\n My fellow committee members \u2013 Bob Matthews, Sushmita Chatterji, Anne Dearing, Brenda Hazard, Mary Ellen Bolton, Cynthia Koman, Gail Roberts, Patricia Watt and Cylon George<\/strong> \u2013 for their input and assistance throughout the academic year<\/p>\n Mary Beth Mullen<\/strong> and Deb Renfrew<\/strong> for their work on the posters<\/p>\n Eric Bryant<\/strong> and the Communications and Marketing Staff, which promoted the program with press releases<\/p>\n Sandi Eyerman<\/strong> for her help in maintaining the HVCC READS Community in the Hudson Valley Portal.<\/p>\n Martin Robinson, Fatima Hussain<\/strong> and the staff of The Hudsonian<\/em> for all their assistance in promoting HVCC READS.<\/p>\n Charmaine Darmetko<\/strong>, Mara Lefebvre<\/strong> and the Institutional Services and Events Staff for scheduling the luncheon, the lecture and the reception afterwards<\/p>\n David Clickner<\/strong> in The Learning Centers for his continual support of the program<\/p>\n Liz Allen<\/strong> and Maureen Gokey<\/strong>, who allowed the author to visit their classes<\/p>\n Elisa Pruden<\/strong> for taking photographs during the author\u2019s visit<\/p>\n Andrea Hotaling<\/strong> and Chartwells Dining Services, who prepared and served the luncheon<\/p>\n Eric Kiel<\/strong>, Brett Groff <\/strong>and Viking Video Technologies for taping and producing a DVD of the author\u2019s lecture<\/p>\n The entire HVCC community for its support of the HVCC READS program.<\/p>\n
