{"id":3309,"date":"2012-08-20T11:50:24","date_gmt":"2012-08-20T15:50:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/campus-chronicle-gets-a-make-over\/"},"modified":"2012-08-20T11:50:24","modified_gmt":"2012-08-20T15:50:24","slug":"campus-chronicle-gets-a-make-over","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/campus-chronicle-gets-a-make-over\/","title":{"rendered":"Campus Chronicle gets a make over"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Campus Chronicle Redesign<\/p>\n<p>The Campus Chronicle, the college\u2019s online daily newsletter, has been redesigned and updated.<\/p>\n<p>We wanted to alert the campus community about some of the changes involved in the upgrade, and we encourage you to check the Chronicle each day and also use it to post your own announcements.<\/p>\n<p>The Chronicle works best when everyone gets in the habit of checking it and using it to let the campus community know what\u2019s happening in their department!<\/p>\n<p>Highlights<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Chronicle was redesigned to be more visually appealing and easier to read. You\u2019ll notice that tabs above the stories allow you to quickly look through all of the most recent entries in a particular area like \u201cEvents,\u201d \u00a0\u201cAccolades\u201d or \u201cClassifieds.\u201d The search box is also more prominent and easier to find.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>All stories will remain visible on the Chronicle homepage until they get replaced by newer entries. We\u2019ve set a maximum number of stories at 10 for the \u201cNews\u201d and \u201cClassifieds\u201d section and five stories for all other categories. Again, this should make it easier and quicker for you to skim through the headlines and read further, if you wish. \u00a0Older posts still will be visible by clicking \u201cmore\u201d at the end of each section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>We have made it easier to submit student announcements, which can be found on the \u201cStudents\u201d page (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/students\">www.hvcc.edu\/students<\/a>) and on their MyHudsonValley\/Blackboard homepage. Faculty and staff will check a box when submitting Chronicle announcements if they want them to go to students as well as faculty staff.
