Here is a quick\u00a0overview on the contest rules and guidelines for\u00a0this scholarship program.<\/p>\n

Eligibility:<\/strong>
\nCurrently enrolled college students (graduate students, law students and\/or high school seniors are NOT eligible) are invited to apply by submitting an essay.<\/p>\n

Essay Topic: <\/strong>
\n“What creative solutions, programs and\/or initiatives to stimulate the United States housing market, as well as to turn the foreclosure tide, must a presidential candidate outline\/promise to earn your vote? Feel free to include your very own original stimulus plan and\/or ideas in your response, which can also be used to enhance existing platforms from candidates <\/em>and\/or other influential thought leaders.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Deadline: <\/strong>
\nDec. 1, 2012<\/p>\n

Requirements: <\/strong>
\nMinimum 800 words, Maximum 2,000 words of original work<\/p>\n

Awards: <\/strong>
\nFive winners will be selected<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    \n
  • Top prize $5,000<\/li>\n
  • Second through fifth place will receive $1,000 each<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    \n

    The $5,000 grand prize-winner will be selected by Foreclosure.com and its panel of third-party judges and announced by March 31, 2013. The four runners up also will be selected and announced at that time and each will receive $1,000 grants. In addition, all scholarship winners will have their essays featured on Foreclosure.com\u2019s scholarship page.<\/p>\n

    Foreclosure.com introduced its scholarship program in 2009. Since that time, the company has awarded 15 deserving college students throughout the United States with a total of $27,000 in scholarship money.<\/p>\n
