Cayuga Community College will host a Business Idea Competition and an entrepreneurship mentoring program for all SUNY community college students this year with assistance from a $5,000 grant from the Coleman Foundation.<\/p>\n
The competition is open to any SUNY community college student enrolled in
\na credit or credit-free (community education) course. Cayuga Community College will award $2,750 in prizes to the winning ideas:
\n$1,250 First Prize
\n$750 Second Prize
\n$500 Third Prize
\n$250 Fourth Prize<\/p>\n
All Business Idea Competition entries must be received by Jan. 31, 2013<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Entries are limited to two pages and must be submitted using the Business Idea Competition application form found at the Business Idea competition Web site: \u00a0www.cayuga-cc.edu\/competition<\/a>.<\/p>\n The application form consists of the following sections: Cayuga Community College will run the competition through its SUNY Entrepreneurial Network to Grow Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ENGINE), a collaborative group of educators, non-profit agencies, and business people that support economic growth across the state. The College’s Phi Beta Lambda business club will coordinate the competition, with assistance from Professor and Faculty Advisor Amy Valente and Professor Thomas Paczkowski.<\/p>\n
