{"id":3866,"date":"2013-02-05T16:35:12","date_gmt":"2013-02-05T21:35:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/scholarship-application-deadline-just-10-days-away\/"},"modified":"2013-02-05T16:35:12","modified_gmt":"2013-02-05T21:35:12","slug":"scholarship-application-deadline-just-10-days-away","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/scholarship-application-deadline-just-10-days-away\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarship Application Deadline Just 10 Days Away!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Hudson Valley Community College Foundation is offering <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hvcc.edu\/scholarships\/index.html\" target=\"_BLANK\">scholarships<\/a> to students continuing their studies in the 2013-14 academic year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The application deadline is Friday, Feb. 15, 2013.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Current students must apply using our online application process.\u00a0 To apply online, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n<p>Login to WIReD (<a href=\"https:\/\/hvccapp.hvcc.edu\/pls\/PROD\/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin\" target=\"_BLANK\">www.hvcc.edu\/wired<\/a>).<br \/>\nClick on \u201cEnrollment, Financial Aid, Student Accounts and Student Services\u201d tab.<br \/>\nClick on \u201cFinancial Aid\u201d link.<br \/>\nClick on \u201cFoundation Scholarships.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Before applying, please note and keep in mind the following:<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Many scholarships require submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).\u00a0 Please be sure your FAFSA is on file <em>before<\/em> applying for scholarships.<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The application process requires one 250-word essay describing your educational and vocational objectives.
