Assistant Professor Paul Calarco was recently granted his doctoral degree by the University at Albany\u2019s Department of Sociology. His dissertation, \u201cFlowers in the Trenches: The Experiences of Women in the Landscaping Profession,\u201d was published in 2012. It and examined the role of women in one of the fastest-growing service industries in the country.
