{"id":3876,"date":"2013-02-08T12:45:05","date_gmt":"2013-02-08T17:45:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/faculty-help-with-your-work\/"},"modified":"2013-02-08T12:45:05","modified_gmt":"2013-02-08T17:45:05","slug":"faculty-help-with-your-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/faculty-help-with-your-work\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty: Help with your work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Center for Effective Teaching sponsors a group of faculty mentors who are not only cross-trained on the technology to be found in our classrooms, but who also are\u00a0 well versed in the how-to&#8217;s of WiRed, Microsoft Office software, and the day-to-day routines on campus.<\/p>\n<p>If you find that you would like some assistance with any of these to make your day run more smoothly, you may want to e-mail mentors@hvcc.edu.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a free hour and a need to learn something like how to email your whole class or how to run a video from the instructor console, or maybe how to enter your midterm grades, mentors are available during the week in the Faculty Resource Room (BTC 1052) as follows:<\/p>\n<div>Monday<\/div>\n<div>8 &#8211; 9 a.m., Toni Howard<\/div>\n<div>noon-1p.m., Milt Connors<\/div>\n<div>Tuesday<\/div>\n<div>11 a.m. &#8211; noon, Tony Podlaski<\/div>\n<div>Friday<\/div>\n<div>noon &#8211; 1 p.m., Michael Such<\/div>\n<div>2 &#8211; 3 p.m., Milt Connors<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>And if you need a mentor to come to your office to help you, contact our Mentor on the Move, Mary Beth Farr (m.farr@hvcc.edu).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Please don&#8217;t hesitate to contact our mentors with anything from a quick question to letting us know what kind of computer training you might need.
