\u201cI wanted to try new concepts and give something back to my college,\u201d said Martin. \u201cMy friends and I are all really proud that we went to SUNY schools \u2013 because they are affordable and top quality \u2013 and so I wanted to create something that other SUNY students and alumni could be proud of. I can\u2019t wait to travel around to the SUNY campuses and share this great new song with everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
Brendan Martin<\/strong> graduated from the University at Albany\u2019s Business School with a 4.0 GPA. He writes from his own experiences and what he went through growing up as a child. Martin is a rapper\/song writer who began establishing himself as a promising hip-hop artist in his hometown of Colonie, New York. He has performed alongside Mac Miller, Lupe Fiasco, Big Sean, Young Jeezy, Snoop Dog and many more.<\/p>\nBrendan has gained a substantial following after winning SUNY Albany\u2019s \u201cBattle of the Bands,\u201d T. Pain\u2019s \u201cMotivated\u201d competition, and most recently, Hot 97\u2019s \u201cWho\u2019s Next\u201d competition opening for J. Cole while sweeping the \u201cBattle for the Best\u201d competition at SXSW. Martin performed at Summer Jam sharing the stage with ASAP Rocky, Big K.R.I.T, Azealia Banks, Pusha T, Schoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar.<\/p>\n
