All must be non-invasive,\u00a0preferably native species, and seeds must be no more than one year old.<\/p>\n<p>Mark your calendar to attend more Earth Day activities taking place in the Siek Campus Center (details to be released when available), as well as these other events in conjunction with the celebration:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Electronics Recycling<br \/>\nFriday, April 12<br \/>\n10 a.m. to 4 p.m.<br \/>\nParking lot off Holliday Drive (next to BTC)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Recycle used electronics free of charge. Open to the public.\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201c<\/strong><strong>Energy, Environment and a Sustainable Economy: What Does This Mean for Today\u2019s Students?\u201d<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, April 25<br \/>\nNoon-12:50 p.m.<\/strong><strong><br \/>\nBulmer Telecommunications Center Auditorium<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong>Bill Reinhardt, former senior project manager at NYSERDA and cofounder of SustaiNYSERDA, discusses how peak oil and climate change issues will affect the potential career paths of students. Reinhardt explains future energy and environmental challenges, their impact on local and global economies and their effects on educational opportunities. His talk focuses on how college students can best plan their education in anticipation of this changing economy. A question and answer session follows the presentation. Reinhardt\u2019s appearance was arranged through Voices: A Library Lecture Series and is open to the public.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Special Note:<\/span><\/strong> <strong>Cell Phone Collection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sustainability Committee also is collecting used cell phones to be sold to Verizon Wireless. Cell phones that include installed sim cards, chargers and accessories can be reconditioned and reused; phones without these items will be recycled.
