The recipient of the 2013 Dr. Joseph J. Bulmer Award for Excellence in Library Research<\/strong> was announced by Assistant Professor Valerie (Lang) Waldin, chair of the selection committee.<\/p>\n Erin Sawyer<\/strong>\u00a0was chosen\u00a0for her paper, \u201cStuck in the Middle: Middle Class Voting Behavior and its Determining Factors.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 She was nominated by Associate Professor\u00a0Sushmita Chatterji\u00a0of the\u00a0English, Modern Languages and English as a Second Language Department.<\/p>\n Ms. Sawyer\u00a0will be recognized at the annual Student Honors and Awards Reception on Thursday, May 16.<\/p>\n Foundation awards must be finalized in late April. The librarians understand that this time frame eliminates the end-of-spring-semester papers from consideration for that given academic year.
