Both The Business Review<\/a> and The Record<\/a> reported on the college’s newly added Architecture certificate program:<\/p>\n Beginning this fall, the college will offer a 29 credit hour Architecture Technology certificate program<\/a>, focusing on the practical and technical aspects of the field.<\/p>\n Offered through the college\u2019s School of Engineering and Industrial Technologies<\/a>, this one-year program is designed for those seeking entry-level positions such as draftsperson, junior designer, construction\/building inspector, material tester, set designer and more. Graduates also will be eligible to transfer into the Architectural Technology Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree program<\/a> at Hudson Valley with full credit granted for applicable courses.<\/p>\n Coursework provides a well-rounded overview of and introduction to the architecture profession with a broad-based exposure to the operations, standards and current practices of the industry. Students learn the current software and design criteria used by many architectural and engineering firms. They study sustainable design criteria, above and beyond energy-saving design.
