In Blackboard 9.1<\/em>, files that appear in a course (Syllabus<\/em>, PowerPoint <\/em>outlines, etc.) actually reside in the Course Files area of that course, which you can access by selecting Files <\/strong>on your course Control Panel and then selecting the link that appears displaying the name of your course.<\/p>\n

But did you know that you can create a Repository Course that you can use to store the files for multiple courses?<\/p>\n

To do this, you designate a Z-area as a course-files repository; put into the Course Files area of that Z-area the files that you use in any of your courses (or multiple sections of the same course); and then link to those files from your other courses.<\/p>\n

One advantage of doing this is, for example, you can link to a Syllabus file that you use in all of your sections of a particular course, and then update all of the links at once by simply updating the Syllabus file in your Repository Course.<\/p>\n
