{"id":4957,"date":"2014-01-14T14:57:01","date_gmt":"2014-01-14T19:57:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/second-blackboard-tip-of-the-week\/"},"modified":"2014-01-14T14:57:01","modified_gmt":"2014-01-14T19:57:01","slug":"second-blackboard-tip-of-the-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/second-blackboard-tip-of-the-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Second Blackboard Tip of the Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here is a second, and\u00a0<em><strong>extremely important<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>Blackboard\u00a0<\/em>tip of the week!<\/p>\n<p>When you do an import in\u00a0<em>Blackboard\u00a0<\/em>on your home computer, using a residential internet connection,\u00a0you may experience a delay of 15 minutes or more between the time that you select\u00a0<strong>Submit\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0to submit\u00a0your import and the time that your import is actually submitted and queued. This is what you will see if that happens: the page with your import check-list will remain displayed, your\u00a0<strong>Submit\u00a0<\/strong>button will be highlighted in blue and in the status bar on the lower left of your browser window you will see a message that says &#8220;Sending request.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>If this happens,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #800000;\"><em><strong>do not<\/strong><\/em><\/span><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>try to submit your import again, but rather wait\u00a0until the page changes\u00a0and you see the yellow banner at the top of the page that indicates the progress of your import.
