Hudson Valley Community College\u2019s Bulmer Telecommunication Center was the site of the New York State Poetry Out Loud State Finals<\/a> on Tuesday, March 4. This event brought together dozens of high school poets from across the state.<\/p>\n If you are interested in viewing the competition, a DVD is available in the Instructional Media Center, which is located on the first floor of the Marvin library Learning Commons.<\/p>\n Poetry Out Loud, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts<\/a> and the Poetry Foundation<\/a>, is a national program that encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization, performance and competition.
