The Vikings lost 21-3 in game one and won game two, 8-7, at Gloucester in New Jersey.<\/p>\n<p>Hudson Valley got off to a slow start in game one. Bradley Adams (Catholic Central\/Troy) led the Vikings going 3-3 at the plate with two stolen bases and two runs scored. Eric Mueller (Bethlehem\/Glenmont) went 2-3 in his debut with two RBIs and two steals in the loss.<\/p>\n<p>Game two was a different story as the Vikings jumped out to a 3-0 lead. Gloucester fought back late in the game and took a 7-5 lead into the seventh inning. Anthony Scaccia (Voorheesville\/Voorheesville) drove in the tying run and then Mike Sunkes (Catholic Central\/Waterford) hit a sac fly to give the Vikings an 8-7 lead. Gloucester threatened in the bottom half of the inning with the tying run on second with one out, but a line drive double play ended the game. Mike Verschelden (Chatham\/Ghent) got the win on the mound and Mike Slingerland (Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake\/Burnt Hills) earned the save.
