Students will work in groups\u00a0to\u00a0develop the communicative and cooperative skills needed\u00a0to confidently participate in the various styles and forms of\u00a0improvisational theatre. Finally, this course will allow students\u00a0to\u00a0develop the skills of listening, observation, impromptu thinking, and expression that are necessary for effective interpersonal communication in work, school, and social situations.<\/p>\n<p>Instructor Joshua Sperber has taught \u201cIntroduction\u00a0to\u00a0Improvisational<br \/>\nTheatre,\u201d \u201cCreative Writing: Stage and Screen,\u201d as well as public speaking<br \/>\nclasses as an instructor at Hudson Valley. He also has served as both an<br \/>\nactor and a director for several local improv troupes, has performed<br \/>\nstand-up comedy at venues throughout the Northeast, and has had plays<br \/>\nproduced in the Capital Region.
