Sandra Hutchison, part-time English instructor, will appear Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 pm at the Sand Lake Town Library along with the Rev. Robert Loesch as they discuss their new books.<\/p>\n

Hutchison, author of the novel \u201cThe Awful Mess: A Love Story,\u201d will introduce her second novel, \u201cThe Ribs and Thigh Bones of Desire\u201d (Sheer Hubris Press, 2014). The Rev. Robert Loesch, author of \u201cThe Day the Drum Stopped and Other Stories,\u201d will introduce his nonfiction book \u201cOne Year: The Ministries of One Parish and Pastor,\u201d (Troy Book Makers, 2014).<\/p>\n

\"Ribs_3D\"<\/a>Hutchison\u2019s new novel, set in the 1970s, follows the difficult coming of age of both a teenage girl and the thirty-something widower across the street, and is also available on\u00a0Kindle<\/a>.\u00a0(That’s a Virginia Woolf quotation in the title, if you’re wondering.) Rev. Loesch\u2019s new book describes one year in the life and ministries of Zion\u2019s United Church of Christ of Taborton in Sand Lake.\u00a0Both books also are available at Market Block Books in Troy.<\/p>\n

Both authors will have copies of their books for sale. Hutchison will donate $2 per paper copy sold to the Sand Lake Town Library; her books are $16.19 each, including sales tax, made out to Market Block Books. Loesch\u2019s proceeds go to ministries of the local church; his books are $18 each, including sales tax, made out to Zion’s United Church of Christ.<\/p>\n
