Cheryl Strayed<\/a>\"\"<\/a>, author of “Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail,” will visit\u00a0 campus on Thursday, March 12 to offer a reading, talk and book signing. The event — free to all — begins at 7 p.m. in the BTC auditorium.<\/p>\n

“Wild” chronicles Strayed’s solo, 1,100-mile hike on the Pacific Crest Trail, undertaken in the wake of her mother’s death, a divorce and slide into an out-of-control lifestyle that included heroin use. “Wild” has been a New York Times Best Seller for 99 weeks and was released as a major motion picture in December 2014.<\/p>\n

Please note<\/strong>: Tickets for Cheryl Strayed will be distributed at the door on a first-come basis. Doors to the BTC auditorium will open at 6:15 p.m. with attendees allowed to gather beforehand in the lobby. No tickets will be distributed before 5 p.m.<\/p>\n

If necessary, the program will be broadcast live to an overflow seating area located in the BTC meeting rooms.<\/p>\n

Cheryl Strayed is presented by the Cultural Affairs Program. The Viking Cove Bookstore will be selling her books at the event.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
