If this idea appeals to you, then tutoring may be a nice part-time job for you for the Fall 2015 semester.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If you enjoy helping others and have a few hours a week to devote to a part-time on campus job then Peer Tutoring may be just the thing for you.<\/p>\n<p>Requirements for Peer Tutors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be a currently registered student at Hudson Valley Community College.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0On the President\u2019s or Dean\u2019s List.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a quality student with a recommendation from a faculty member for the course in which you wish to tutor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply to be a Peer Tutor:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pick up an application outside MRV144 located on the 1<sup>st<\/sup> floor of the Marvin Library Learning Commons (just past the men\u2019s room) or send an e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:d.frament@hvcc.edu\">d.frament@hvcc.edu<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Ask a faculty member for a recommendation and have them send it to Don Frament via e-mail (<a href=\"mailto:d.frament@hvcc.edu\">d.frament@hvcc.edu<\/a>) or interoffice mail (Don Frament, MRV001).<\/li>\n<li>Return your completed application to Don Frament in MRV144.\n<ul>\n<li>You will be contacted once we receive the faculty recommendation.<\/li>\n<li>You must successfully complete an interview and Peer Tutor Training in order to be hired.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Peer tutoring is a paid student worker position.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Published:<\/strong>\u00a0Fri, 17 Apr 2015 19:10:55 +0000 by\u00a0d.frament<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Peer Tutor Recruitment The Peer Tutoring Program seeks qualified students who enjoy helping others.
