Distribution Exercise and College Emergency Drill<\/strong> The Rensselaer County Health Department and other community public health partners will perform a Point of Distribution (POD) exercise in the McDonough Field House from 7 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 1.<\/p>\n A POD location is where health departments distribute medication or provide medical treatment in the event of a real emergency situation, such as a bio-hazard release, a widespread severe influenza outbreak, or an outbreak of a disease like Ebola or Anthrax .<\/p>\n This on-campus POD drill is intended to improve the Health Department’s ability to respond to emergencies.
