{"id":6885,"date":"2015-08-17T12:14:03","date_gmt":"2015-08-17T16:14:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/important-information-about-the-blackboard-upgrade\/"},"modified":"2015-08-17T12:14:03","modified_gmt":"2015-08-17T16:14:03","slug":"important-information-about-the-blackboard-upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/important-information-about-the-blackboard-upgrade\/","title":{"rendered":"Important information about the Blackboard Upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hello all Blackboard users,<\/p>\n<p>The Blackboard upgrade is complete. <strong>When there is an upgrade all Courses and Banner Enrolled Organizations default to an \u201cUnavailable\u201d status.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Courses:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Faculty,<br \/>\nIf you had made your course available before the upgrade, you will need to make it available again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Organizations:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Organizations that are enrolled by Banner Code (this would include most Academic Department Organizations) must be made available again by the <strong>Organization Leaders<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Make Courses and Organizations Available: <\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.hvcc.edu\/dl\/?p=1223\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/docs.hvcc.edu\/dl\/?p=1223<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>From the <strong>Control Panel<\/strong> of your Course or Organization<\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Customization<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Properties<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><em>Go to<\/em> <strong><em>Set Availability<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Make Course Available<\/strong>, select <strong>Yes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Select <strong>Submit<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A green confirmation bar will appear indicating that the properties have been updated<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please contact the Distance and Online Learning Help Desk if you need any assistance in making your courses or organizations available at <a href=\"mailto:DLHelp@hvcc.edu\" target=\"_blank\">DLHelp@hvcc.edu<\/a> or 629-7070.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Published:<\/strong>\u00a0Mon, 17 Aug 2015 12:14:03 +0000 by\u00a0s.gallagher<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Hello all Blackboard users, The Blackboard upgrade is complete.
