{"id":6902,"date":"2015-08-20T18:58:32","date_gmt":"2015-08-20T22:58:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/all-school-read-brings-harvard-professor-to-suny-school-of-public-health\/"},"modified":"2015-08-20T18:58:32","modified_gmt":"2015-08-20T22:58:32","slug":"all-school-read-brings-harvard-professor-to-suny-school-of-public-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/all-school-read-brings-harvard-professor-to-suny-school-of-public-health\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;All School Read&#8221; brings Harvard professor to SUNY School of Public Health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This summer, SUNY&#8217;s School of Public Health initiated an <strong>All School Read<\/strong> project designed to allow students, alumni, and members of the community to discuss major issues confronting society today. &#8220;Our Kids: The American Dream in Crisis&#8221; by Robert Putnam, the Malkin professor of public policy at Harvard University, was selected for the All School Read.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Putnam will be the special guest for a presentation and book signing on Wednesday, September 16, at the School of Public Health, located on SUNY&#8217;s East Campus (One University Place, Rensselaer). The free program will begin at 5 p.m. and light refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n<p>The School of Public Health also will host a panel discussion on the important topics raised in the book at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept 9 at same location.
