Remembering the Victims at Umpqua Community College<\/em><\/p>\n Victims of last week’s shootings at Umpqua Community College will be remembered during a moment of silence and brief ceremony with students, faculty and staff. Campus Chaplain Cylon George will facilitate the remembrance.<\/p>\n 2 p.m.<\/strong> (Please arrive at 1:50 p.m.) National Moment of Silence<\/em><\/p>\n The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC<\/a>), as well as the Association of Community College Trustees (ACCT<\/a>), called for a national moment of silence in the memory of victims of the tragedy at Umpqua Community College.<\/p>\n “We ask that you encourage those on and around your campuses to observe the moment of silence this Thursday, October 8 at 11 a.m. Pacific \/ 2 p.m. Eastern.
