There are 24\u00a0scholarships to be awarded to students who may have financial need, but who also have overcome tremendous personal obstacles in order to pursue an education.<\/p>\n<p>The goal of the program is to reward those who demonstrate the initiative and desire to achieve self-sufficiency through education. Recipients are also rewarded for academic success; the higher your grades, the more the award.<\/p>\n<p>The application period closes Friday, Oct. 16.
