We are joining forces to raise funds for the Rensselaer County Humane Society<\/a>, and also supply new and gently used shoes to developing countries.<\/p>\n How does this work? <\/strong><\/em>WoofTrax, Inc. and Funds2Orgs have partnered to create Shoes for Shelters <\/em>and will pay the Rensselaer County Humane Society a lump sum based on the number of shoes collected. The shoes, in turn, will be delivered to countries like Haiti, Honduras, Bolivia, and several others; and benefit people in developing nations by creating jobs selling shoes,\u00a0 providing sustainability, and keeping millions of shoes out of landfills.<\/p>\n Our goal is to collect 2,500 pairs of gently worn, used or new shoes (100 bags of 25 pairs of shoes). Shoes, boots, sandals, sneakers, slippers are all acceptable.<\/p>\n Clear out your closets and drop your unused shoes in designated boxes throughout campus:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n We welcome your help!\u00a0 If you’d like to have a box for donations, or get involved, please let us know!
