This is a message for all faculty who teach online<\/strong> from the director of the Center for Access and Assistive Technology and the director of Distance and Online Learning:<\/p>\n In order to be compliant with accessibility and ADA requirements, we are sending this reminder for faculty teaching online courses who have students that need special accommodations for testing.<\/p>\n You can set \u201cTest Exceptions\u201d for your test to accommodate selected individual users or groups in your course. You can create the following exceptions: Number of attempts, Timer, Availability, or Force Completion. (However, we never recommend using Force Completion.)<\/p>\n Here is the link to the tutorial on adding \u201cExceptions\u201d to tests: Please call the Distance and Online Learning Help Desk if you need assistance setting up your test exceptions by calling 629-7070 or emailing DLHelp@hvcc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n If you have general questions about making your online course accessible or ADA compliant, or would like to make an appointment to have your course reviewed for compliance, please contact Linda Ryder or Elissa Baker directly.<\/p>\n Linda Ryder
