All disability services now are located in the CAAT. \n<\/strong>Beginning\u00a0Tuesday, Sept. 6, the Center for Access and Assistive Technology continue extended hours during the academic semester. These extended hours give students, faculty and staff an opportunity to utilize our adaptive computer lab, receive training on the assistive technology, testing accommodations, as well as provide evening students and faculty access to the Center for Access and Assistive Technology.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The following brochures are available: Center for Access and Assistive Technology, Deaf and Hard of Hearing,\u00a0and Policies & Guidelines for Alternative Testing Services. Please contact\u00a0the Center for Access and Assistive Technology\u00a0at 629-7154 and\u00a0we will mail\u00a0them to you. These publications provide helpful information for college faculty and staff to ensure access to college programs and activities for individuals with disabilities.<\/p>\n
\nThere currently are 105 handicapped spaces throughout the campus:<\/p>\n
\n— B-lots located on North Drive, 14 spaces throughout the entire lot
\n— C-lot located near the students pavilion, 2 spaces
\n— E-lot located on South Drive, 9 spaces to access the Joe Bruno Stadium
\n— G-lot located on upper South Drive, 9 additional spaces for access to the Joe Bruno Stadium
\n— H-lot located on the south side of Williams Road, 4 spaces
\n—\u00a0 J-lot located near Williams Road, 4 spaces for access to Cogan Hall and the Daycare Center; there is 1 additional space near the side entrance to the Daycare Center
\n— N-lot located behind the Campus Center, 10 spaces|
\n— Visitors Lot on Holliday Drive, 4 spaces|
\n— Parking Garage, 16 spaces|– North side of the Conway Ice Rink, 3 spaces|– Fire lane, 15 spaces for access to Lang, Brahan and the Science Center
\n— Lapan Hall, 2 spaces
\n— Cogan Hall, 1 space<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>The Center for Access and Assistive Technology has seven electric scooters available for loan to students, staff and faculty, based on individual need and documented disabilities.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>Please contact the Distance Learning Department in the Bulmer Telecommunications Center (BTC), room 1042 or (518) 629-7070, if you have any questions regarding adjustment of settings within Blackboard to provide accommodations. The CAAT and the Distance Learning Department work collaboratively to support both faculty and student needs with reasonable accommodations.<\/p>\n
