{"id":8562,"date":"2016-10-27T12:35:25","date_gmt":"2016-10-27T16:35:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/report-to-the-board-of-trustees-for-october-2016\/"},"modified":"2016-10-27T12:35:25","modified_gmt":"2016-10-27T16:35:25","slug":"report-to-the-board-of-trustees-for-october-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wpdev\/report-to-the-board-of-trustees-for-october-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Report to the Board of Trustees for October 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The college\u2019s Board of Trustees met on Tuesday, Oct. 25, and I\u2019m pleased to share my <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Presidents-Report-October-2016.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">report<\/a> with faculty and staff.<\/p>\n<p>In light of our ongoing issues with Blackboard, I&#8217;m also sharing the <a href=\"http:\/\/chronicle.hvcc.edu\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Letter-to-Blackboard-10-18-16.pdf\">letter<\/a> I sent to the company on Oct. 18, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Highlights of another busy month are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Troy Mayor Patrick Madden&#8217;s visit to Advanced Manufacturing Technology classes<\/li>\n<li>The Viking Cup Challenge and Homecoming, that included the official opening of the new Outdoor Athletic Complex<\/li>\n<li>Foundation Gala to benefit the Capital District Educational Opportunity Center as it closes out its 50th anniversary year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s hard to believe we&#8217;ve already reached the mid point of the Fall 2016 semester, which I hope is going well for all faculty and staff.
